Over the thousands of game releases since the introduction of consoles, we’ve seen game sales rise and fall, and user ratings go up and down. But overall what game is the best rated? Believe it or not Zelda: The ocarina of time, is till to this day the highest rated game, with an overall reviewed rating of 9.8/10. Beating all those games such as Metal Gear Solid for PlayStation coming in at number 4, and Halo coming in at number 9. Back in 1998, the game really set a new benchmark for the game of that time but was not without its competition, like Final Fantasy 7, which still ranks at 29, with a rating of 9.3/10. Nowadays in the game arena, although many see these games as dead, there stories live on. There have been rumours of Sony and SqaureEinx(formally SquareSoft) reproducing the Final Fantasy Classic for the PS3. Rumours of this started when Sony showed a revamped introduction scene back when the PS3 was first unveiled. Old School Games are in, with Final Fantasy 7 going on eBay for as much as $60, Metal gear solid for PlayStation1 goign for $79.99, and for Zelda? As high as $125US. Makes you start to wish you didn’t trade in all your old games for your Xbox360. |
